Twitter reacts to report on Liverpool issue with new Mo Salah contract

Liverpool renewal spree

Kopites didn’t have much to shout about over the summer.

The Reds signed Ibrahima Konate the day the window opened and thereafter it was all sales, loans and contract renewals.

Alisson Becker signed a new deal running until 2027.

Meanwhile Fabinho and Andy Robertson penned extensions until 2026.

In addition Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Nat Phillips and Trent Alexander-Arnold all signed on until 2025.

Mo Salah contract demands

There is still work to be done on the renewals front.

Liverpool are yet to tie the Egyptian King to fresh terms.

According to a report in The Mirror, Mo Salah wants £500k-a-week to sign a new contract.

The report is being widely dismissed by Kopites everywhere but that hasn’t stopped fans taking a side.

Personally, I can’t see him asking for that type of money nor Liverpool giving it to him.

We have a pretty tight wage structure even though the bill is expensive.

The main expense on our wage bill of late has been due to performance related bonuses.

Twitter reaction

Kopites are divided between give him whatever he wants and cash in on him.

If we can’t get him to sign an extension then we may well have to sell him in the near future.
