Liverpool completed several loans this summer for the 2021/22 season. We have a look at them all and what could happen.
Liverpool loans 2021/22
Ben Davies to Sheffield United
Liverpool sent Ben Davies to the Blades for this season after a strange six months. The centre-back hasn’t actually play for the Reds.
Hopefully, this is the move that can rebuild his reputation.
Rhys Williams to Swansea City
Rhys Williams signed a new long-term contract before heading to Wales. It was a well-deserved one, too.
The 20-year-old proved he can have a big future with the right development. We’re excited about this one.
Sheyi Ojo to Millwall
Another year, another loan for Sheyi Ojo. Maybe this is the one where he finally catches fire but at 24, he’s surely just biding his time until the end of his Liverpool contract.
Ben Woodburn to Hearts
Ben Woodburn heads up north for what will be a big few months. This deal ends in January when Liverpool will surely reassess what’s best for the one-time prospect.
Sepp van den Berg to Preston North End
Sepp van den Berg spent the final part of last season with Preston and he rejoins them this time around. He’s playing brilliantly, too, scoring twice in his last two games and playing multiple positions.

Leighton Clarkson to Blackburn Rovers
Can he follow in Harvey Elliott’s footsteps? Leighton Clarkson heads to Blackburn, where Elliott had so much success last season.
A decent campaign might just put him in the Liverpool fold.
Adam Lewis to Livingston
Adam Lewis had two loan deals last season and he gets another here. The Scottish Premiership will hopefully prove to be where he really kicks on.
Paul Glatzel to Tranmere Rovers
It was something of a surprise to see Paul Glatzel drop down the tiers like this. He’s always had potential in Liverpool’s academy.
The striker is mainly playing on the wing for Tranmere, too. Certainly, one to watch this season.
Luis Longstaff to Queen’s Park
Luis Longstaff moved to the legendary Scottish outfit on deadline day. It’s quite a step-down, though – Queen’s Park are currently in the third tier.
Still, a taste of senior football should be good for the youngster.
Anderson Arroyo to Mirandes
Anderson Arroyo has had plenty of loans since joining Liverpool in 2018. Here’s another one as the Colombian spends the season with Mirandes in the Spanish second tier.
Jake Cain to Newport County
Jake Cain was a regular in Liverpool’s first-team training sessions recently and previously made some matchday squads. He’ll drop down to League Two to get some proper senior experience this season, though.
Jakub Ojrzynski to Caernarfon Town on
Jakub Ojrzynski signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool before joining Caernarfon in the Welsh Premier League.
Vitezslav Jaros to St Patrick’s Athletic
We’ll mention this one, too. Jaros went to St Patrick’s Athletic back in February and remains there. The Irish football ends in November, so the Czech will arrive back at Anfield later this year.
