Liverpool have been linked with a million and one players during this transfer window. Despite all of the rumours the Reds have only signed the one player. One transfer saga seems set to end on deadline day. Reported Liverpool target Renato Sanches appears set to join Wolves.
Liverpool and Renato Sanches
This is a rumour which has rumbled on for months and months.
First mentions of Liverpool interest in Renato Sanches surfaced back in January.
Since then we’ve seen Mundo Deportivo claim the Reds will beat Barcelona to the midfielder’s signature.
The Spanish outlet claimed that the La Liga side can’t afford Lille’s £34m asking price.
However, we’ve since seen no such move for the Portuguese midfielder materialise.
Renato Sanches set for Wolves
The transfer saga could finally be coming to an end.
The Athletic has reported that Renato Sanches could be heading to Wolves.
The outlet has claimed that Bruno Lage’s side have submitted a loan bid to Lille ahead of the transfer deadline today.
It is said that Wolves are hoping to insert an option to buy the player permanently.
In addition Bruno Lage is believed to be familiar with the one time European Golden Boy having spent time with him at Benfica and at Swansea.
What RTK has to say
At least we don’t have to hear about this one anymore.
The Reds being linked with Sanches was one of those summer stories which wouldn’t go away.
We only saw the rumour mill slow down when the midfielder picked up an injury which is set to sideline him until September.
Fingers crossed he performs well in the Premier League and we pick him up next summer.
