Liverpool have been linked with dozens of midfielders this summer. The Reds lost Gini Wijnaldum to PSG on a free transfer at the start of the window and since then the press has been suggesting replacements aplenty. We can now rule out one signing. Liverpool have missed out on Eduardo Camavinga with Real Madrid sealing a deal for the Frenchman.
Liverpool linked with Eduardo Camavinga
This summer saw the Reds lose one of the side’s most important players.
Gini Wijnaldum left the club on a free transfer with the Dutchman joining PSG.
The midfielder was an undroppable member of the side and as a result many fans and pundits have called for a replacement.
The Express previously claimed Liverpool hold an interest in Eduardo Camavinga.
The 18-year-old French star was one of this window’s hottest properties with clubs lining up to sign the talented teenager.
Eduardo Camavinga joins Real Madrid
We’ve now seen an end to the speculation around the wonderkid’s future.
Eduardo Camavinga has joined Real Madrid from Rennes.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Frenchman will complete a £27m transfer to the Spanish giants today.
The youngster allegedly turned down offers from PSG and Manchester United.
What RTK has to say
It is disappointing to miss out on Camavinga but we were never really frontrunners in this one.
The youngster can really kick on in Madrid and if he realises his potential then the Spanish side have bagged a bargain.
Hopefully the Reds will turn their attention to Jude Bellingham.
The Dortmund midfielder has well over a decade left in the tank and signing him soon could see us enjoy a majority of that decade.
