3 in, 2 out: Possible Liverpool transfer business this deadline day

Liverpool fans have been left frustrated by this transfer window. The Reds haven’t done much business on the incoming front despite shifting plenty of fringe players on. There’s still time yet. Let’s examine possible Liverpool transfer business for this deadline day.

Possible Liverpool transfers out

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be one for the exit door.

The Ox has failed to make an impression yet this season.

He played the first hour against Norwich and had a poor game overall.

Injuries have derailed the ex-Arsenal man’s stay at Anfield and now could be time to cut our losses. Given how busy the midfield is it would make sense to cash in.

Nat Phillips has been tipped for a move this window with the Bolton Baresi thought to be looking for first team football.

The Athletic previously reported that Brighton want the hero of last season to replace Ben White.

As of yet there’s been no formal approach but that could change on deadline day.

Neco Williams is another who is believed to be seeking first team football.

However, his ideal move to Southampton is no longer on the cards with the Saints having added two full backs already.

The Athletic has reported that it would take at least £10m to take the youngster from the Reds with Leeds United, Burnley and Aston Villa credited with interest.

Liverpool transfer ins on deadline day

Now this is where things get even less likely due to the Reds’ reticence in the market this season.

If Liverpool were to do some transfer business on deadline day we suspect it would be a forward.

Adama Traore is a player the Reds have been persistently linked with. 90Min recently reported on Anfield interest in the Wolves winger.

The Spanish speedster has since been rumoured for a move to Spurs.

Although his final product isn’t great everything up until that point is, we’d be spending £40m gambling on Jürgen Klopp sorting out his end game.

Raphinha is another possibility for the Reds.

The Metro has claimed Liverpool interest in the Leeds United winger.

He fits us perfectly with his direct running, dribbling ability and familiarity with intense, high octane football.

Leeds are set to add Dan James to the side this deadline day – could he be a replacement for Raphinha?
