Liverpool are in need of reinforcements in the final third. We need a proper striker to come in. The Reds are currently without a proper finisher to help us out when we face stubborn low blocks. Liverpool should move for Odsonne Edouard using Divock Origi in the deal.
Lack of attacking options
At the moment the Reds have four forwards we feel comfortable starting with.
Jürgen Klopp only has one choice to make each week: Roberto Firmino or Diogo Jota.
Even then, Jota isn’t a natural striker and nor is Roberto Firmino.
The Portugal forward is more effective playing off the left whilst the Brazilian is typically used as a false nine.
We need an out and out striker to come in and play on the shoulder of the last man.
Against Chelsea we saw how desperate the need is for a proper finisher, a poacher.
Liverpool should move for Odsonne Edouard
North of the Scottish border is a player the Reds need to be considering.
23-year-old French striker Odsonne Edouard has been banging them in for Celtic in recent years.
The 2019/20 season saw him net 21 goals and bag 12 assists in 27 games.
He’s started this season with two goals from his opening three.
Crystal Palace have made a £15m bid for him according to the Mail.
This sort of figure is incredibly affordable, particularly for FSG.
At just 23-years-old he’s only going to get better and he won’t expect to be a guaranteed starter straight away.
Given his age and the fee being quoted in the gossip columns, Liverpool should move for Odsonne Edouard by using Divock Origi in the deal.
The Belgian would flourish in the Scottish game, he needs to be starting every week somewhere and he has the quality to lead the line for Celtic.
