Liverpool have just one missing player ahead of Chelsea, according to their team news. Jurgen Klopp has the strongest squad available for close to a year.
The team news is in and it looks good for Liverpool against Chelsea. For the first time in a long time, the Reds don’t have multiple injuries to worry about.
James Milner is the only missing player for this. It’s debatable whether the midfielder would have played anyway but he will be absent.
And that’s it. Jurgen Klopp otherwise has a full selection of players to choose from – including Andy Robertson.
The Scot missed both of Liverpool’s games so far after picking up an ankle injury right at the end of pre-season. That meant Kostas Tsimikas came in against Norwich and Burnley – to good effect.
That will be Klopp’s big choice, then. Does he continue with the in-form Tsimikas or replace him with the world’s best left-back? It’s a pretty fantastic decision to have.
There are other slight injury concerns, of course. Thiago is yet to start a game this season, while Joe Gomez hasn’t made a competitive return to action. Both are available, however, and we’d expect the Spaniard to start.
Team news: Liverpool v Chelsea
As for the Blues, they’ll be without both Kurt Zouma (personal reasons) and Christian Pulisic (Covid-19). We doubt the former would have played but Pulisic being out will be a blow for them.

He has played wonderfully at Anfield in the past, after all.
In more annoying news for Liverpool, N’Golo Kane is back and ready to play. He returned to action against Arsenal last week, so Chelsea won’t have many worries there.
Hakim Ziyech is back, too, having returned in the same fixture.
Chelsea looks strong, then, as do Liverpool. This promises to be one of the biggest games of the entire season.
