Liverpool loanee Sepp van den Berg scores first goal; Twitter reacts

Liverpool have plenty of promising players at the club. The Reds have been hoovering up top talents from across the globe in recent seasons. Some have been sent out on loan. Twitter has been raving over Sepp van den Berg after he scored his first professional goal for Preston North End this week.

The Reds signed Sepp van den Berg in the wake of winning the Champions League in Madrid.

Liverpool only added two outfield players that summer with Harvey Elliott the other arrival.

Prior to joining the Reds from PEC Zwolle, Sepp van den Berg had broken the record for being the youngest player to reach 10 Eredivisie appearances.

Now 19-years-old, the versatile defender is on loan at Preston North End.

The lanky youngster spent the second half of last season at Deepdale as part of the deal which saw Ben Davies join the Reds.

This week saw Preston North End advance in the EFL Cup.

The Lilywhites beat Morecambe 4-2 in the League Cup to advance to the third round.

It was an impressive away victory for the Championship side who were in no mood to be dumped out of the competition by the League One outfit.

Many Liverpool fans will have taken notice of the game as Sepp van den Berg scored his first professional goal.

The lanky defender tapped home a poacher’s effort at the far post to round off the scoring in the game.
