Liverpool only added two outfield players that summer with Harvey Elliott the other arrival.
Prior to joining the Reds from PEC Zwolle, Sepp van den Berg had broken the record for being the youngest player to reach 10 Eredivisie appearances.
Now 19-years-old, the versatile defender is on loan at Preston North End.
The lanky youngster spent the second half of last season at Deepdale as part of the deal which saw Ben Davies join the Reds.

It was an impressive away victory for the Championship side who were in no mood to be dumped out of the competition by the League One outfit.

The lanky defender tapped home a poacher’s effort at the far post to round off the scoring in the game.
