Liverpool have already sold a number of players but we may not be even halfway done when it comes to outgoing transfers. This week could see some fireworks. According to various reports, Lyon have lodged a bid for Xherdan Shaqiri.

Liverpool player sales
Michael Edwards has already shifted a host of players from the club.
Marko Grujic was bought by Porto after impressing on loan at the Portuguese side last season.
Meanwhile Harry Wilson returned to the Championship after agreeing to join Fulham.
In addition Taiwo Awoniyi has left for Union Berlin and Liam Millar has signed for Basel.
In the coming weeks we could see Nat Phillips and Neco Williams move on with the pair looking for first team football.
Lyon bid for Xherdan Shaqiri
One man expected to move on is our much decorated Swiss international.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon have lodged a bid for Xherdan Shaqiri.
The diminutive playmaker has made no secret of his desire to leave this summer and has even spoken of wanting to play in the Italian Serie A. Furthermore, he’s added that he’s told the board he is ready for a ‘new challenge’.
Despite Lyon entering the race, the Liverpool ECHO has reported that the Reds are firm on their £12m asking price and the two clubs are some way apart on that matter.
Competition for the midfielder is certainly heating up with the likes of Napoli and Lazio also believed to be interested.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool selling Xherdan Shaqiri is vital for our summer plans.
The Reds need to raise more funds before the end of the window so we can reinforce the midfield and attack.
Shaq is too good to be sitting on the bench but not good enough to backup the quality of our attack.
He’s done well for us but it’s time to call it a day.
