Liverpool are expected to move on a number of players this summer, the Reds have already sold a decent number of fringe players. Jürgen Klopp has dropped a big transfer hint by leaving Nat Phillips and Xherdan Shaqiri out of the squad to face Osasuna.
Liverpool player sales
Thus far the Reds have raised a decent chunk of money.
Michael Edwards has sold Liam Millar to Basel and Taiwo Awoniyi to Union Berlin.
Meanwhile, Marko Grujic has returned to Porto after a successful spell with the Portuguese side last term.
Harry Wilson on the other hand has sealed a move to Fulham after a number of loan moves in the Championship.
Liverpool transfer hint: Nat Phillips and Xherdan Shaqiri
The Reds still have a few players who could be on their way.
Two such players are Nat Phillips and Xherdan Shaqiri.
This week Jürgen Klopp dropped a major transfer hint by leaving the duo out of the squad to face Osasuna on Monday night.
Neil Jones at Goal has reported that although no moves are deemed to be imminent there is a sense ‘something will happen’, as a result there was little point in taking risks with the pair’s fitness.
What RTK has to say
This is an encouraging sign.
The Reds are in need of transfer funds; Phillips and Shaq should generate a fair amount of income.
After the pair are moved on we can focus on bringing in a striker and a centre midfielder.
Hopefully Nat Phillips stays in the Premier League so that he can receive a standing ovation from the Kop.
