Liverpool could have missed out on signing a future superstar by allowing Christos Tzolis to join Norwich City.
However, they now have the perfect chance to keep an eye on the Greek star.
Per the Eastern Daily Press, Tzolis is on the verge of a move to Carrow Road.
The Canaries have lined up a €12m (£10.2m) package, which PAOK are likely to accept.
They hope to conclude the deal in the coming days after the Greek side rebuffed their previous offers.
At this stage, it looks very likely that Tzolis will be playing in yellow next season.
Not many will have even heard of the player, but we are sure that he will become a well-known name in the near future.
It is unlikely that Liverpool will step in now, but do not be surprised to see him being linked with the Reds next summer.
Why is Tzolis a potential future Liverpool target?
£10m for a player of Tzolis’ potential is an absolute steal in our opinion.
Last season at PAOK, he scored 16 goals and got 10 assists in 46 games in all competitions.
That is impressive enough before you even consider the fact that he only turned 19 in January.
This form has seen him win eight caps for Greece, with many more sure to come.
We spoke recently about Liverpool potentially signing players from smaller sides before they move to a so-called stepping-stone club. In fact, Tzolis was one that we mentioned in the article.
They probably should have spent £10m on signing him this summer before he is inevitably worth twice that in a few months time.
As a quick, direct, goal-scoring wideman, he is perfect for Jurgen Klopp’s system.
So make sure to keep an eye on Christos Tzolis in the Premier League next season.
He could even cause Liverpool a few problems on the opening day.
