Liverpool are in need of transfer funds. Michael Edwards has already managed to sell off a few players but we need to cash in on a few more before the window shuts. Arsenal moving for Joaquin Correa could help Liverpool sell Xherdan Shaqiri to Lazio.
Liverpool have already cashed in on Marko Grujic, the Serbian midfielder has left for Portugal.
Having spent the last season on loan at Porto the box-to-box man has rejoined on loan with an obligation to buy.
Harry Wilson has signed for second tier side Fulham following a series of loan moves about the country.
Meanwhile Taiwo Awoniyi has joined Union Berlin and Liam Millar has signed for Basel.
Despite the number of exits we still need to move on Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi.
The pair have failed to provide effective backup for our front three in recent seasons, we need to bring in upgrades.
Arsenal bid for Joaquin Correa
Our Premier League rivals are hard at work strengthening ahead of the new season.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, as relayed on the BBC Gossip page, Arsenal have lodged a bid for Joaquin Correa.
The Gunners are said to have offered around £17m for the versatile winger.
However, Lazio are believed to have refused the offer and are looking for a larger bid.
Xherdan Shaqiri to Lazio boost
If Arsenal are serious about Correa then they could help Liverpool sell Xherdan Shaqiri to Lazio.
The Reds have allegedly set an asking price of £12.75m for Shaqiri with Lazio one of the clubs reportedly interested.
However, the same report from Corriere Dello Sport has said that Lazio can’t afford to buy the Swiss star unless Correa is sold.
Therefore, Arsenal could be doing us a massive favour by stepping up their efforts.
We are in desperate need of the money, hopefully Arsenal will help us get it.
