Liverpool are always looking for marginal gains. It is these marginal gains which make the difference at the very top level of the sport. A few years ago the Reds brought in a secret weapon who has proven to be incredibly effective. Twitter has been delighted to hear that Liverpool have given Thomas Gronnemark a new contract.
This summer will see a number of new deals handed out with most of them for the playing staff.
We’ve already seen Trent Alexander-Arnold sign an extension with the Reds.
This summer has seen a host of players enter the final two years of their deal, we’re expecting fresh contracts for the likes of Fabinho, Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah.
However, captain Jordan Henderson’s future is said to be up in the air with the club and player at an impasse.
Liverpool give Thomas Gronnemark new contract
In 2018 there was a big hubbub around an appointment at Anfield.
Liverpool had drafted in Thomas Gronnemark as a specialist throw-in coach.
The Danish staff member was ridiculed in some corners of the media with dinosaur pundits questioning why he was needed.
His impact has been immense according to the boss, on the coach’s site he quotes Jürgen Klopp as saying:
“We brought in Thomas, and it changed our throw-in game completely.”
This week the specialist confirmed he’d signed a new deal with the club.
Fans are delighted with the new deal with plenty offering their congratulations, some even getting a bit over excited.
