Liverpool’s pre-season is well underway and fans are already being swept away with the excitement of it all. The Reds’ were recently beaten by Hertha Berlin but we can take some positives out of the defeat. Some Liverpool fans were blown away by Naby Keita against Hertha Berlin.

Pre-season is all about trying out new things, getting back into the groove and seeing which youngsters could make the step up.

Despite the defeat at Hertha Berlin there were positives to take.

Once again Kaide Gordon looked courageous on the ball, confident well beyond his age.

We also saw the return of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

Furthermore, there was yet another reminder of just what Kostas Tsimikas can bring to the side this season.

Also, it’s always nice to be able to celebrate a goal which involves a Mo Salah backheel and Takumi Minamino finish.

One standout performer for the Reds was their £52.75m midfielder.

Naby Keita had yet another blinder against Hertha Berlin.

The frustrating star served us with yet another reminder of his undeniable quality.

Since joining the Reds his Anfield career has been plagued by injury and therefore inconsistency.

However, he has often impressed when fit. This week was another game which showcased his best bits.

Naby Keita hounded Berlin stars to win the ball back then he beat them with ease.

The ball was flicked over opponents’ heads in Zidane like fashion.

The Guinean also played a key role in Taki Minamino’s goal, winning the ball back and played a perfectly weighted ball through for Mo Salah’s assist.

Of course, fans have been swept away immediately, reacting to a clip of Keita’s highlights against Hertha Berlin. Though some are still cautious about his injury record, plenty are ready to dream.
