Liverpool endured a nightmare season last time out. The Reds suffered an injury crisis like no other and it cost them their title defence. Finally, the nightmare appears to be coming to an end. Jürgen Klopp has said Virgil van Dijk could make his return to action against Hertha Berlin.

Virgil van Dijk injury
The Reds lost Virgil van Dijk to injury back in October.
The Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park saw the Reds dominate the opening exchanges but the game changed early on.
Jordan Pickford flew into Virgil van Dijk at knee height, a reckless tackle which warranted a lengthy ban.
However, the keeper got off completely free and the Dutchman was ruled out for the season.
His absence was followed by season ending injuries for Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
A parade of centre back partnerships took to the field for Jürgen Klopp, somehow securing a top three finish.

His leadership at the back, as well as his pace and composure will be vital for us in the upcoming season, the Premier League must be terrified to see him back in action.
Fingers crossed there’s no setbacks in his recovery and we can see him take to the field regularly at the start of the season.
