Liverpool are expected to move for a forward this summer. Given the lack of quality in depth in the attacking line bringing in fresh blood is essential. According to 90Min, Liverpool have asked about signing Pedro Neto from Wolves.
Lack of quality in depth
At the minute Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi are the only two backing up the attacking line.
Neither has done a particularly good job of providing cover in recent seasons.
Both are up for sale this summer with the Reds looking to upgrade.
Without effective depth we can’t rest key players and we run the risk of our starting lineup becoming complacent. We need to bring more quality into the attacking line.
Liverpool ask about Pedro Neto at Wolves
This summer could see the Reds swoop for one of the Premier League’s most exciting young wingers.
According to 90Min, Liverpool have enquired about Pedro Neto at Wolves.
The Midlands side have been inundated with requests about the Portuguese winger’s future.
Last season he was a standout performer for Wolves, scoring five and assisting six as he took on a greater role following the departure of Diogo Jota and the absence of Raul Jimenez.
Unfortunately he sustained a serious knee injury towards the end of the season but his recovery is believed to be stepping up.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Neto would be a dream, fans have begged for him to be brought in.
At just 21-years-old he has years to keep getting better and better.
Furthermore, his versatility is a great asset – according to WhoScored he’s played in at least seven different positions in the past season.
He is an FSG signing down to the ground but his knee injury could mean any move would have to wait until January at the earliest.
