Liverpool want to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan

Gini Wijnaldum departure

The Reds could always rely on Gini Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman racked up more minutes under Jürgen Klopp than any other player during his five-year stint at Anfield.

He rarely missed a Premier League game and when you consider the injury records of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and to an extent Jordan Henderson, Gini’s perpetual availability was a godsend.

The midfielder has now joined PSG on a free transfer and we need to replace him urgently.

Liverpool want Franck Kessie

Michael Edwards could turn to the Italian Serie A for the solution to our midfield problems.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport Liverpool want to sign Franck Kessie.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

The 24-year-old Ivorian midfielder was a standout performer for AC Milan last season.

He appears to improve year on year, last term he netted 13 and assisted four for his side in the league.

A dynamic, energetic footballer who is as comfortable on the front foot as he is defending, he suits the Reds down to the ground.

Available for bargain fee

Previously reports have quoted a £43m fee for Franck Kessie.

However, he has since entered the final year of his contract at Milan.

If the Italian giants are unable to negotiate a fresh deal for the midfielder then they could be forced to accept a much reduced fee for the Ivorian.

Considering the financial constraints at Anfield bagging a player in Kessie’s contractual position would make sense.

He is nowhere near his peak and he’s already a standout performer, now is the perfect time to sign him.
