Liverpool are believed to be in the market for a forward this summer. The Reds need to strengthen the attacking line and there’s plenty of targets being bandied about. According to The Athletic, Liverpool have shortlisted Jarrod Bowen at West Ham.
Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri have failed to provide effective cover for the front line.
The Reds need to move the pair on and upgrade the depth in the attack.
At the moment we have four players for three positions and often we’ve seen all four start together.
Without depth we run the risk of players becoming injured and fatigued.
Without competition we run the risk of players becoming complacent about their role in the side.
Liverpool target Jarrod Bowen
This summer has seen dozens of players linked with the Reds.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have added Jarrod Bowen to their shortlist of attacking targets.
West Ham bought the forward from Hull City in January 2020 in a deal worth up to £25m.
The Reds allegedly see him as a player with huge potential and they admire his versaility.
Last term he netted eight and assisted five for David Moyes’ side.
Some fans are uninspired by the report whilst others believe it could be a shrewd move.
However, given the fee the Hammers paid for him he won’t come cheap and there could be better options at his price.
