Antoine Griezmann could transfer away from Barcelona and his agent has made Liverpool aware, according to reports. The Frenchman appears to be on his way out.
This comes from 90min. They claim Antoine Griezmann is available for transfer this summer.
Atletico Madrid are favourites to sign him but they’re far from the only club involved here. Many Premier League clubs have been ‘made aware’ of his availability – Liverpool among them.
Griezmann being available would entice any club on the planet but particularly when his fee is apparently low. 90min don’t mention a figure but claim Barcelona would accept a ‘huge loss’ on what they paid.
That was £107m – so no worries about this being a record-breaking transfer.
Antonie Griezmann available for transfer
90min aren’t the strongest source in the world, so take this with a pinch of salt. Still, it’s entirely believable.
Barcelona signed both Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay this summer, leaving little room for Griezmann. There have been numerous reports that he’s been offered to Atletico Madrid, too.
COPE are one outlet claiming as such. They say a Griezmann / Saul Niguez swap is on the cards and both clubs like the idea.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the players do, however. What Liverpool can take from that, then, is that those two are up for sale.

We’ve written before that Griezmann would be a good signing, too. He’s a proven winner and one with a fantastic record over the last five or six years.
Few could deny that he’d be a strong addition to the Reds’ forward options, even if it’s just short-term. Though, the short-term aspect likely ends this idea.
Griezmann is 30, after all, and Liverpool would need to replace him again in a few years. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all close to that mark, too. Replacing all four of them at a relatively similar time makes little sense.
Instead, we expect Liverpool to find someone younger than Griezmann. But if they just want a ‘win now’ signing, there’s simply no one better available.
