Jürgen Klopp needs to add bodies to his midfield. The Reds are at least one man light in the middle of the park. In the past we’ve hunted around the Championship and we could do so again. Liverpool could make a move for Sander Berge at Sheffield United.

Liverpool and relegated players
FSG and Michael Edwards have been clever in the market in recent years.
The Reds have snapped up a number of players from relegated sides on the cheap.
Inevitably costs have to be cut when you drop into the Championship and top players will want to return to the top flight.
Gini Wijnaldum was signed from Newcastle United following their demotion.
Andy Robertson arrived from Hull City hot on the heels of their relegation.
Whilst Xherdan Shaqiri joined the Reds from a recently relegated Stoke City.
Liverpool could move for Sander Berge
Another raid on the Championship could be on the cards.
Last season Sheffield United were relegated in somewhat surprising fashion.
The Blades had been a surprise package the season before the 2020/21 campaign was a disaster.
According to the Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool could turn to Sander Berge.
The Reds allegedly held an interest in the Norwegian prior to his move to Sheffield.
The Echo’s report reminds us of when Jürgen Klopp referred to the 6ft 5in midfielder as a ‘very interesting player’.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool moving for Sander Berge would make sense at the right price.
He’s still just 23-years-old and he has plenty of first team experience.
However, he suffered a significant injury which saw him miss 21 games last season which could worry the Reds.
This one wouldn’t surprise us at all but we certainly aren’t counting on it just yet.
