Liverpool are expected to be moving for a striker this summer. The Reds are in need of goals. Last term the goals dried up and we can blame a lack of competition and quality in depth in the front three. According to reports in the Netherlands, Liverpool are in negotiations to sign Donyell Malen.
Time for a striker
Roberto Firmino has been used as a false nine during his time at Anfield.
The Brazilian has been effective in this role but eventually teams will always cotton on.
Last season the attack looked tired and figured out.
We persistently faced stubborn, low blocks and we struggled for chances and goals as a result.
It’s time for the Reds to bring in an out and out striker in order to resolve this issue up top.

Liverpool enter Donyell Malen negotiations
This summer one man keeps cropping up as a potential solution to our issues up top.
Liverpool have been persistently linked with a move for Donyell Malen.
Dutch journalist Marco Timmer has offered an update on the situation, telling Voetbal International:
“Yes, of course, there are negotiations going on, and with that, it can also be counted on the negotiations that in this case, Mino Raiola is conducting with Dortmund or Liverpool, for example, for Malen.”
What RTK has to say
At just 22-years-old the striker bagged 19 top flight goals and eight assists last season.
As a result Liverpool signing Donyell Malen would be an exciting move.
However, we face stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund now that they have the Jadon Sancho money to spend.
Fingers crossed we pip them to this one, there aren’t any better value for money options out there.
