Spain beaten by Italy
What a game of footy, eh.
Last night’s Euro 2020 semi-final between Spain and Italy will go down as an all time classic of the competition.
Two great footballing nations slugged it out, their contrasting styles producing a thrilling encounter.
Spain’s slick and intricate passing created big opportunities whilst Italy’s ferocious counter attack, fuelled by pace and a keen dribbling ability produced some gilt edged chances.

Furthermore, the old guard at the back for Italy treated us to a defensive masterclass.
Federico Chiesa opened the scoring on the hour mark when he capped a fine counter attack with a superlative curling effort.
However, Alvaro Morata equalised with 10 minutes of normal time remaining followed a string of missed Spanish chances.
It took penalties to settle the game with Dani Olmo and Morata both missing and Jorginho scoring the decisive spot kick.
Thiago and Liverpool target Pedri
One standout performer was Spain’s boy wonder in the middle.
Thankfully, Pedri is of interest to Liverpool according to various reports.
The Mirror previously claimed contact has been made but Barcelona would want at least £70m for the 18-year-old.
Mundo Deportivo, via the Daily Star, has since repeated these claims.
Senior star Thiago consoled Pedri after the shootout and Kopites have ran with it.
