Liverpool are believed to be in the market for a midfielder this summer. The Reds are in dire need of reinforcements following the departure of Gini Wijnaldum. One man on the South Coast is regularly being touted as a target. The door could be open for Liverpool to sign Yves Bissouma following Brighton confirming the arrival of Enock Mwepu.

Midfield gap
This summer Liverpool lost a key member of the midfield.
Gini Wijnaldum has moved to PSG on a free transfer, ending a five year stint at Anfield.
He played nigh on every Premier League game during his time with the Reds.
Considering the uneasy fitness records of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, we will need to sign a replacement for Gini or we risk being left shorthanded in the middle.
Liverpool target Yves Bissouma.
Brighton are expected to field interest from a number of clubs this summer.
The Athletic recently claimed Liverpool maintain an interest in Yves Bissouma.
The 24-year-old would allegedly cost the Reds at least £40m.
Arsenal are also interested in the box-to-box ball winner.
Brighton sign Enock Mwepu
This week has seen Brighton announce the arrival of Enock Mwepu.
The Seagulls have snapped up the centre midfielder from Red Bull Salzburg.
The player’s arrival could open the door for Liverpool to sign Bissouma.
Even though Brighton have claimed he will add competition we can’t rule out that the seasiders are planning for life without Bissouma.
The only question is will it be Liverpool or Arsenal who lands the midfielder?
