Liverpool will sell at least a few players this summer. The Reds are in need of funds and trimming the squad is the best way to raise them. We could see a recent arrival on his way. According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan want to sign Kostas Tsimikas.
Liverpool sign Kostas Tsimikas
Last summer bringing in cover for Andy Robertson was a priority.
The Reds only had James Milner providing any depth and the Yorkshireman was already covering just about every other position in the squad.
A move was made for Jamal Lewis at Norwich City but the Canaries quickly rebuffed the Reds’ approach.
Just a couple of days later Liverpool announced the signing of Kostas Tsimikas for a fee of £11.75m.
Since joining last summer the Greek international has only made seven appearances in all competitions.
Inter Milan want Kostas Tsimikas
Simone Inzaghi’s reign at Inter Milan kicks off this week.
The Italian boss is already searching for reinforcements according to reports in his home country.
Calciomercato has claimed that Inter Milan may move for Kostas Tsimikas.
A wing back is certainly on the cards with Manchester United’s Alex Telles also cited as a possible option.
What RTK has to say
We can’t see the Reds selling the Greek defender.
Although he hasn’t played much he hasn’t really had to.
Next term will likely see an increased role for the ex-Olympiakos man.
It would take a massive offer from Inter to convince Michael Edwards to part with the defender he signed just last year.
