Liverpool should be looking to sign Pedri from Barcelona for a bargain fee

Liverpool are in need of reinforcements in the middle of the park. Furthermore, FSG have a preference for signing young players whose value will increase overtime. Therefore, Liverpool should be looking to sign Pedri from Barcelona for a bargain fee given the Spanish side’s financial woes.

Who is Pedri?

18-years-old and undroppable for club and country, Pedri is one of the most exciting talents in the game.

The wonderkid has started all five of his nation’s games at Euro 2020 this summer.

These appearances come off the back of 28 starts and nine sub appearances for Barcelona in La Liga last term.

Some fans have dubbed him ‘the future of football‘ due to his Andres Iniesta like style of play in the midfield.

Liverpool want Pedri

The Mirror reported previously that Liverpool want to sign Pedri.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

The outlet claimed that the Reds have already made initial contact about a deal.

However, a price of £70m was suggested for the wonderkid.

Since then his stock has continued to rise due to his impressive performances at Euro 2020.

Bargain signing?

Liverpool could be able to convince Barcelona to sell Pedri on the cheap.

The Spanish side are in dire straits financially.

RAC1 has claimed that the La Liga club are in desperate need of funds with a massive trim of the wage budget necessary.

This is due to the poor decision to hand out a series of expensive contracts following expensive signings in recent seasons.

Liverpool should exploit these errors of judgement by trying to nab Pedri for a bargain fee.

He’s going to be a world beater in future, now could be the best time to sign him.
