This summer needs to see investment at Liverpool. The Reds are in need of reinforcements after a torrid season in front of goal. Jürgen Klopp will be keen to bolster his attack, increasing quality in depth and competition. Given that Leicester City have signed Patson Daka, Liverpool fans are right to expect an exciting signing.
Liverpool attacking reinforcements
From January onwards last season the Reds just weren’t good enough.
Liverpool struggled to find the net with fatigue thoroughly setting in.
The front three looked tired and figured out with low blocks limiting the Reds’ chances and plenty of opportunities going wasted.
As a result there is an urgent need to bolster the attack, to increase the competition and quality in depth up top.
The front three need to be kept on their toes and the boss needs to be able to rest them when necessary.
Leicester City sign Patson Daka
Salzburger Nachrichten previously claimed that Liverpool were leading the race for Patson Daka.
The Zambian striker has netted a silly amount of goals for Red Bull Salzburg.
Last season he banged in 27 in 28 games, assisting seven along the way.
This week it was confirmed that Leicester City have signed Patson Daka in a £23m deal.
Expect something exciting
Patson Daka was an FSG signing down to his socks.
Just 22-years-old with plenty of first team experience and a silly goal scoring record, he appeared the answer to our problems.
Liverpool not signing Patson Daka is frankly disappointing.
However, Kopites should take heart from the deal and expect something special to be in the works.
Given how good of a deal the Foxes have tied in we can only assume that Michael Edwards has his eye on someone bigger and better, otherwise this could be a massive blunder from the Reds.
