Liverpool are going to have to add some quality in depth to the front line. The Reds are short of competition and cover up front. This week saw Liverpool linked with Kingsley Coman. A report has now claimed that Bayern Munich want £86m for their winger.

Competition and depth needed
The front three have been essentially without cover for the past four years.
Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri have been backups in name only, the boss rarely using the pair as they caused such a dramatic drop off in quality.
Diogo Jota’s arrival could’ve changed things but the Portugal star has often started alongside the trio or he’s been injured.
Liverpool need to sign fresh blood for the attack to increase the quality in depth and the competition for places.
There’s no way Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane would’ve kept their place in the side at periods last season.
The two went through torrid runs of form but there was no realistic replacement for either in the squad.
Liverpool Kingsley Coman pursuit update
Last week rumours emerged that Liverpool had bid for Kingsley Coman.
Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport claimed that the Reds had offered £30m for the Frenchman but Bayern Munich were holding out for £42m.
Since then Sport1 has reported that the Reds have contacted the player’s entourage.
In a fresh twist Sky Germany has now asserted that no bid has been made and Bayern would demand at least £86m for the winger.
What RTK has to say
No, thanks.
Liverpool aren’t going to cough up £86m for Kingsley Coman.
If we had anything close to that money it’d be going on Jadon Sancho or Kylian Mbappe, not a player with an extremely patch injury record.
Hopefully we can put this rumour to bed in the near future.
