Report: Liverpool contact management of Kingsley Coman

Liverpool are expected to add quality in depth to the front line this summer. The Reds were lacklustre in front of goal last term and this needs remedying. Amid reports that the Reds have submitted a £30m bid, Sport1 has confirmed Liverpool are interested in Kingsley Coman.

Kingsley Coman breakdown

25-years-old and with a wealth of first team experience, Kingsley Coman is a regular fixture for Bayern Munich.

The French winger joined the German giants having come through the PSG academy before joining Juventus.

Pacey and boasting a bursting trophy cabinet, the winger has won an embarrassment of medals despite his young age.

Most often used as a left winger last season the Frenchman also popped up on the right, as a striker and as a centre midfielder according to WhoScored.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool have submitted a bid for Kingsley Coman.

The outlet has claimed that the Reds have offered £30m but are £12m shy of Bayern Munich’s valuation.

Reports of the Reds’ interest have been backed up in Germany with Sport1 claiming that Liverpool have contacted the player’s management to sound out a move.

What RTK has to say

This doesn’t quite make sense for us.

Coman has a patchy injury history and he’d cost a pretty penny in wages.

The winger is allegedly stalling on a new deal with Bayern because he wants more money – can we really afford to break our pay structure for a player not guaranteed to start?
