Liverpool need to sign a striker this summer. The Reds have to remedy the lack of goals in the side by bringing in an out and out striker. Liverpool are reportedly set to move for Donyell Malen. However, Manchester United could scupper the move with their swoop for Jadon Sancho.
Liverpool want Donyell Malen
22-year-old Donyell Malen is enjoying life in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The ex-Arsenal academy star has become a star performer for PSV.
Last season he netted 19 goals and bagged eight assists for his side.
Sport Bild has claimed that the forward is available for just £21.5m.
Meanwhile, Voetbal International previously claimed the Reds are at the front of the queue for the striker.
Manchester United and Jadon Sancho
For two summers now we’ve seen the Red Devils try and sign Borussia Dortmund’s boy wonder.
Manchester United are close to signing Jadon Sancho for a fee around £77m according to Sky Sports.
The English winger has allegedly already agreed personal terms with the Manchester side but the two clubs are yet to finalise a fee.
Donyell Malen interferance
Sport Bild has claimed that if Dortmund sell Jadon Sancho then they’ll look to replace him with Donyell Malen.
Given how much money they’ll raise from Sancho’s sale they should be able to outbid the Reds.
Therefore Kopites should be hoping that the Red Devils don’t land their primary target.
The move wouldn’t just strengthen our rivals but it would harm our chances of sealing a top target.
