Report: Liverpool are "certainly fans" of Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool are said to be big fans of Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The Reds are on the lookout for a replacement for the departing Gini Wijnaldum.

Now, Goal have highlighted a list of players that they are looking at, including Wijnaldum’s international teammate Gravenberch.

Other potential targets are Florian Neuhaus, Yves Bissouma, John McGinn and Renato Sanches.

However, the outlet sites 19-year-old sensation Gravenberch as the most intriguing option.

This news is not a huge surprise, as every club in Europe is probably a fan of him.

Yet the fact that Liverpool are aware of him and like the look of him is promising.

As expected, there have been a whole host of midfielders linked to Liverpool this summer.

Hopefully, he will put in a good word with Gravenberch while they are together in the Netherlands’ Euro 2020 camp.

The Ajax man has played in two of the three games so far. He started the final group match against North Macedonia and put in a fantastic performance.

At 19-years-old, he already looks like a top player. Just imagine how good he will be when he is in his prime.

While the four others mentioned by Goal are top players, they are not quite as exciting as Gravenberch.

He can do everything in midfield. He already looks incredibly mature and tactically aware, despite his inexperience.

The club must be aware that by signing Gravenberch, their midfield could be secure for the next decade.

Let’s see how the next few months go. The interest may just become something more substantial.
