Liverpool miss out on Leon Goretzka

Back in 2018 there was a scrap on for one of the Bundesliga’s brightest midfielders.

Liverpool missed out on Leon Goretzka with the player admitting there was an Anfield offer on the table.

Speaking to The Athletic he described Liverpool as a ‘great club’ and he praised Jürgen Klopp.

The German went on to join Bayern Munich and he’s enjoyed great success with the Bavarian giants.

This summer sees the midfielder enter the final year of his deal at the Allianz Arena.

According to Sport1 he has enlisted to entourages of agents to help him sort his future.

The report stats that the player wants to extend at Bayern Munich but his consultants are exploring further options.

The midfielder is said to be of interest to English clubs and has held talks with interested parties.

However, Bayern remain in the driving seat for the dynamic middle man.

The German is versatile and dynamic, storming up and down the pitch.

However, his injury record is somewhat a concern for the Reds.

He has had persistent muscle issues in recent years.

Despite these problems if he is available then the Reds need to be in the conversation, it would be a shame to miss out.
