Neco Williams pushing for a move

Liverpool have the best right back in the world.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, at just 22-years-old, has redefined the full back role.

He will be the best in his position for many years to come.

As a result it’s difficult for his number two to envisage any first team football in the near future.

The Athletic has reported that Liverpool will let Neco Williams leave this summer with the Welshman pushing for regular minutes.

The report has claimed that the Reds will consider bids of £10m.

Liverpool should swoop for Elseid Hysaj

This summer will see Napoli lose one of their most regular players.

27-year-old Elseid Hysaj’s contract is up with the Serie A side and according to Football Italia he is certain he is not extending his deal.

Liverpool snapping Elseid Hysaj up on a free would make sense.

The Albian is able to play on either side of the back four and can even fill in further up the wing.

Given that the Reds seem set to lose their only natural cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold it would make sense to bring in a versatile backup.

Sure, The Athletic has claimed that Joe Gomez is seen as Trent’s cover and Conor Bradley has impressed the staff.

However, if last season has taught us anything it’s that we can’t sell backup players without replacing them.

Hysaj is experienced both in Serie A and the Champions League. He is versatile. He is free.

Liverpool should be monitoring his situation closely.
