Liverpool should snatch Madueke from Dortmund clutches - RTK View

Borussia Dortmund reportedly want to replace former Liverpool target Jadon Sancho with PSV sensation Noni Madueke.

Sancho looks set to finally sign for Manchester United this summer.

Last month, Fabrizio Romano reported on his Here We Go podcast that Liverpool were interested in signing the Englishman, but only if one of their current attackers left.

It appears that none of the Reds’ stars are set to leave, meaning that Sancho’s path to Old Trafford is clear.

Dortmund were said to be interested in another reported Liverpool target, Donyell Malen, as Sancho’s replacement.

However, German journalist Constantin Eckner has reported that BVB could now turn their attention to Malen’s PSV teammate Noni Madueke.

Yet we think that Liverpool should learn from history and make a move to sign Madueke themselves.

Englishman Madueke has had a very promising season at PSV.

A left-footed winger that plays off the right, it is easy to see why Dortmund want him.

Young, English and incredibly talented – it is almost like they are replacing Sancho with another version of him.

The 19-year-old looks a top talent. He scored seven goals and assisted four more in the Eredivisie in 2020/21.

Just seven of his 24 games were starts, while he only turned 19 in March.

PSV are going through something of a golden generation with their academy. As well as Madueke and Malen, they have recently produced the likes of Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Ihattaren.

They are an incredibly well-run club, just like Borussia Dortmund.

That is why we believe that Noni Madueke could become a megastar.

So, Liverpool should sign him before he does.

They were priced out of a move for Sancho, who BVB developed into a generational talent.

That is why now is the time to go for Madueke. Sign him on the cheap and develop him into a world-class player at Kirkby, where he can learn from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

While the club have Harvey Elliott on the books, he can be made into a central midfielder or a No 10. That means that Madueke could well be the future of Liverpool’s right-wing.

Young, homegrown, relatively cheap and with world-class potential, Noni Madueke seems like the perfect solution to a problem position for Liverpool.
