Italy 3-0 Switzerland

This week saw Italy continue their dominant start to Euro 2020, booking themselves a place in the round of 16.

The Italians battered Turkey 3-0 on the opening night and they matched that tally against the Swiss.

Manuel Locatelli opened the scoring against Switzerland.

The Sassuolo midfielder swept an excellent first time pass out to Domenico Berardi. The winger sped down the line and into the box before squaring it for Locatelli to finish the move he started.

It was Locatelli who doubled his side’s lead early on in the second half, rifling a shot into the bottom corner from just outside the area.

Dominant throughout, Italy’s third was added by Ciro Immobile in the 89th minute.

Could Liverpool bid for Manuel Locatelli?

Gini Wijnaldum is leaving the Reds this summer.

The Dutchman played nearly every Premier League game during his five year stay at the club.

As a result Jürgen Klopp needs to bring in a replacement for his ever-present dynamo.

Consequently, a Liverpool bid for Manuel Locatelli would make sense in that regard.

Furthermore, Goal have put the player’s price tag at just £34m.

In addition, he is just 23-years-old and standing out for club and country in the middle of the park, he could be just what we need.

Above all, he is noted for his defensive acumen as well as his ability to pick a pass.

However, there is sure to be fierce competition, Liverpool should be in the mix when the time comes.

Liverpool fans want Locatelli

Kopites were raving over the Italian’s performance. They want him at Anfield.
