Liverpool are set for a big summer transfer window. We are expecting to see a number of departures in order to fund some much needed signings. According to Sky Germany, Liverpool are targeting Donyell Malen because they could lose Mo Salah.

Who is Donyell Malen?
22-year-old Donyell Malen plays up top for PSV Eindhoven.
The striker was sold by Arsenal for just £200k in August of 2017.
Since then he’s gone from strength to strength in his home country.
This season the Dutchman netted 19 goals and assisted eight in 26 starts and six sub appearances.
Liverpool target Donyell Malen, Mo Salah catch
Voetbal International previously claimed that Liverpool are leading the race for Donyell Malen.
This week an update on the situation came from Sky Germany.
Reporter Max Bielefeld claimed Liverpool will hold talks with PSV about a Malen transfer.
However, the journalist added that this is because the Reds may lose Mo Salah this summer.
According to The Athletic, Malen is available for as cheap as £26m.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool losing Salah but signing Malen wouldn’t be good enough.
If the Reds were to sell Mo Salah then we’d expect a big name to come in to replace him, we should make a healthy profit on the £34m we paid for him.
We’ve consistently been told that a move for Kylian Mbappe or Jadon Sancho would hinge on the departure of one of the front three.
As a result it would be disappointing to see Malen as a direct replacement for the Egyptian.
We doubt that he would be, even though the Dutch striker has impressed for PSV he isn’t proven in at the top level and he doesn’t play on the right wing.
If Mo does leave then a move for Jadon Sancho would look more likely.
