Liverpool are in the market for a midfielder this summer. The Reds have lost a talismanic man in the middle and he’ll need replacing. There’s been some good news for Michael Edwards, reported Liverpool target Boubacar Kamara is available for just £21.5m this summer.
Who is Boubacar Kamara?
21-year-old Frenchman Boubacar Kamara plays in the middle of the park for Marseille.
The youngster is a permanent fixture in his side’s midfield, he made 35 league appearances last season.
Capped at every youth level by France, he is set for a bright future in the game.
He is a solid all round midfielder, adept at passing and winning the ball back. He is also effective in the air, standing at 6ft tall.
Liverpool target Boubacar Kamara update
Back in March Calciomercato claimed that Liverpool are targeting Boubacar Kamara.
The Reds are thought to be shopping around for a midfielder in an effort to replace Gini Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman was a nigh on ever-present for Jürgen Klopp, signing a successor is essential.
In a boos for the Reds, the player’s agent has told Phoceen that the 21-year-old will be available for €25m (around £21.5m). This is because his contract expires in 2022 which could force a cheap sale.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool snapping Kamara up for just £21m could be a steal.
At just 21-years-old he has plenty of years left in the tank.
His young age also makes him more malleable, the boss would be able to mould him in his image.
Furthermore, Jürgen Klopp would be enticed by the player’s versatility, he has been deployed at centre back on occasion. Michael Edwards could be rubbing his hands with glee.
