Report: Liverpool will sign Florian Neuhaus ahead of Bayern Munich

Gini Wijnaldum has left Liverpool with a gaping hole in the midfield. The Dutchman’s departure is a bitter pill to swallow but swallow it we must. We also must find a replacement. According to AS in Spain, Liverpool will sign Florian Neuhaus despite competition from Barcelona.

Replacing Gini Wijnaldum

It is going to be nigh on impossible to replace Gini Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman was perpetually available to Jürgen Klopp.

He was a leader on and off the pitch and rarely missed a Premier League game since his 2016 switch from Newcastle United.

Gini was a midfield dynamo. He won the ball and kept it. He was nigh on untackleable at times.

This summer Wijnaldum will join PSG on a free transfer. Finding a successor for the Dutchman has to be a priority for the Reds.

Liverpool will sign Florian Neuhaus

There has been plenty of speculation about one Bundesliga candidate in particular.

According to AS in Spain, ‘everything indicates’ that Liverpool will sign Florian Neuhaus.

This is despite competition from Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester City.

The report compares the 24-year-old German to Toni Kroos and claims that a fee of around £34.4m will be necessary.

What RTK has to say

We haven’t watch a tremendous amount of Florian Neuhaus.

However, we have an implicit trust in Michael Edwards and his team.

If the recruitment committee thing the boy is the business then we’ll back them all the way.

Finding a replacement for Gini won’t be easy but if anyone can do it it’s Michael Edwards and his gang.
