Adama Traore is available for a transfer this summer, according to reports. Liverpool retain an interest in the Wolves winger.
This comes from 90min. They claim Wolves have made Adama Traore available in this transfer window.
They’ve told new manager Bruno Lage that they must sell two players if they want to invest in their squad. Those players will be Traore and Ruben Neves.
The Telegraph recently said similar about Neves, linking him with Arsenal. But it appears Traore is also on the transfer list and that may interest Liverpool.
90min’s report claims the Reds have long-term interest in Traore. That interest remains, in fact, with Liverpool ‘still in the mix’ for the 25-year-old.
Sport have previously claimed the same – that Traore is up for grabs and Liverpool like the look of him. They name a price, too, of around £35m.
There was talk of £135m a year ago, which shows just how ‘up for sale’ Traore now is. Liverpool may have a chance, here.
Adama Traore available
Traore is an interesting one as he’s got the raw talents to be fantastic. At the same time, he’s had a terrible season.
Liverpool’s big decision, then, is whether there’s £35m worth of talent there. We’d argue that yes, there is. It’s certainly up for debate, though.
We also expect other teams to get involved for that kind of fee. 90min name both Manchester United and Chelsea as wanting to know more, for instance.
We’d back Liverpool’s long-term interest to make a difference, though. There’s no need for extra scouting, while they can easily prove to Traore that they don’t just see an opportunity – they really have put the work in for him as a target. That’s only going to appeal to him.
This is long-term interest paying off, then. The club will know all about Traore and what he could bring to the squad. Now all they need is a price they like.
