Liverpool are always in the market for the best and brightest. Some of these players can cost a pretty penny but if they’re the right player then the club will stump up the cash, just look at Virgil van Dijk. According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are weighing up a move for Barcelona wonderkid Pedri.
Who is Pedri?
18-year-old midfielder Pedri currently plays for Barcelona.
The Blaugrana signed him from Las Palmas last summer for €5m (£4.3m).
Despite his young age he’s been a regular feature for the Catalan giants.
He started 28 league games and came on as a sub on nine occasions this term.

Pedri also started six Champions League games and made one appearance from the bench.
He is thought to be one of the brightest midfield prospects in world football.
The youngster is noted for his vision and passing ability as well as his close control of the ball in tight areas.
Liverpool eyeing Pedri transfer
Back in April The Mirror claimed that Liverpool had contacted agents representing Pedri.
The Reds’ interest has been repeated in the Spanish press.
Mundo Deportivo (via Daily Star) has claimed that Liverpool still hold an interest in Pedri.
However, the player won’t come cheap due to his £70m release clause.
Furthermore, he is highly rated by Ronald Koeman, hence his heavily involvement this season.
Although, the Reds will be hopeful that they can exploit Barcelona’s dire financial situation to secure the signing.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Pedri would be an incredible move.
He would be a massive statement signing given his stature in the game.
Pedri is regarded as one of the greatest talents of tomorrow, to bag him now would secure our midfield for the next decade.
