The club has brought in a number of top talents to bolster the academy ranks.
Harvey Elliott was signed in the wake of the European Cup win in Madrid and he has just completed an impressive loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.
Mateusz Musialowski is another exciting talent, the Polish youngster impressed in his debut campaign following a move from SMS Lodz.
More recently Kaide Gordon was bought from Derby County and the 16-year-old has already impressed for the U23s.
Liverpool target Isak Bergmann Johannesson update
Isak Bergmann Johannesson is one of the hottest properties in Europe at the moment.
Despite only having turned 18-years-old in March the youngster is an undroppable part of the Norrköping midfield in the Swedish top flight.
Last season he made 28 appearances, netting three and assisting 10.
According to FotbollDirekt Liverpool are interested in Isak Bergmann Johannesson and so is the rest of Europe’s elite, including Manchester United.
The player would reportedly cost up to £6m but there’s a hitch: he won’t go to the Premier League because he wants regular first team football.
Should Liverpool want to land Johannesson then they’d have to give him assurances that he’d be getting regular game time.
What RTK has to say
The lad is clearly a special talent.
However, we can’t see an 18-year-old making the step from the Swedish top flight into the Liverpool midfield just yet.
Hopefully he moves to a smaller club as desired and we can snap him up from there.
