Liverpool fans will be well aware that the Reds need to sign a striker urgently. The front three failed to perform in the second half of the season, exposing just how short of a lethal finisher we are. Reported Liverpool target Erling Haaland has had his price tag set and it’s great news for the Reds.
Liverpool need a striker
This season exposed just how much the Reds need a new forward to come in.
Liverpool’s front three have been together for four seasons which is an abnormally long stretch.
This term they appeared fatigued and somewhat figured out by the opposition.
From January onwards chances went begging by the dozen and we slipped out of the top four as a result.
It’s time for a lethal finisher to come in and mop up the half chances which have been wasted lately.
Liverpool target Erling Haaland price set
Eurosport are one of a number of places to report on Liverpool interest in Erling Haaland.
The Reds interest is understandable, half of Europe are trying to sign him due to his 27 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
According to AS in Spain, Dortmund want €200m (£171m) for the striker this summer.
Ironically this suits the Reds down to the ground.
Next summer his £62m release clause comes into play and he’s much more affordable.
Michael Edwards should be rubbing his hands with glee knowing nobody can afford the striker this summer, we can have a good crack at bringing him in this time next year.
