Who will be the next Everton manager?

Look, there’s a sibling rivalry between Everton and Liverpool.

Growing up around the city you can tell it’s a very different rivalry to the ones in Manchester, London and Glasgow.

Sure, we want to beat each other whenever we play but when it comes to it its Merseyside against the rest.

As a result, it’s hard not to feel a degree of sympathy for Everton fans here.

Even though it’s utterly hilarious and one of the most Everton things that could have happened; Carlo Ancelotti leaving for Real Madrid is a real sucker punch for a fan base who have suffered through plenty in recent years.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

The departure has left fans wondering ‘who will be the next Everton manager?’

There’s every chance it could be an ex-Liverpool boss.

Carragher backs Rafa Benitez for Everton

A number of candidates have already been touted in the press.

The Athletic has reported that Steven Gerrard could be in the frame for the job.

Jamie Carragher has used his Telegraph column to back Rafa Benitez for the Everton job.

The Scouser has described Rafa as an obvious candidate should the Everton hierarchy want to continue with a tried and test Champions League winning coach, he believes the Spaniard should be top of the Toffee’s list.

What RTK has to say

This would ruffle a few feathers.

Plenty of Everton fans wouldn’t accept it but plenty more would just be happy having a world class manager replace a world class manager.

This is going to be a tumultuous time to support the Ev, they better strap in.
