Liverpool are going to have something of a clearout this summer. The Reds have plenty of players to move on following a quiet window exit-wise last year. If reports from Turkey are accurate then Fenerbahce could sign two Liverpool players this summer.
Liverpool transfers: chop list
This summer will see plenty of fringe players moved on.
Some will be sold to raise funds, others just aren’t reliable when it comes to their fitness.
Liverpool will likely be looking for permanent homes for Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson following a sequence of loan spells.
Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi are both also facing the exit door having failed to provide effective cover for the first XI.
Meanwhile persistent injuries have cast doubt over the futures of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.
Fenerbahce interest in Liverpool stars
This summer could see Fenerbahce move for two Liverpool players.
The Turkish league is notorious for hoovering up fringe stars from the Premier League with the likes of Mesut Ozil and Demba Ba having headed out there in the past.
Fotomac has reported that Fenerbahce are interested in Divock Origi and could make a loan offer with an option to buy.
Meanwhile the same outlet has claimed that Fenerbahce are also interested in Xherdan Shaqiri.
What RTK has to say
This could be another Michael Edwards masterclass in the making.
The sporting director is known for squeezing buyers for every penny.
He could save us plenty of time by sending two of our fringe players to the same club instead of complicating matters with negotiating around Europe when we have so much business to be doing.
