Liverpool fans will always tell you that once this club touches you it never leaves you, plenty of ex-players remain fans of the side. We’ve seen that evidenced this week with Alberto Moreno sending a message to Liverpool fans after beating Manchester United in the Europa League final.

Alberto Moreno at Liverpool
When Liverpool signed Alberto Moreno in 2014 for £12m there was a sense of excitement.
The left back was seen as an exciting young player with a big future ahead of him.
Within a fortnight of signing for the Reds he scored a wonder goal against Spurs.
Then his defensive frailties began to show, for every good run forward there were to opposition runs not tracked.

Eventually his lack of defensive understanding led to the club replacing him with Andy Robertson.
Moreno remained at the club until after we won the Champions League in Madrid with the Spaniard deemed a positive figure to have in the dressing room.
Alberto Moreno message for Liverpool fans
This week Villareal took on Manchester United in the Europa League final.
The Spanish side took the lead in the first half and defended stubbornly.
Edinson Cavani equalised early in the second period and the drab game ended up boring us until the penalty shootout.
Extraordinarily not a single penalty was missed until the 22nd spot kick was taken by David De Gea and saved by the Villareal keeper.
After the game Alberto Moreno stayed true to his Liverpool past and addressed Kopites in a video, telling Manchester United to ‘get out’ and shouting ‘you’ll never walk alone’.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool fans will be delighted with this an justifiably so.
It’s always good to get one over on your arch rivals and it’s a good moment to reflect on Moreno’s legacy.
He wasn’t defensively fit for this Reds’ side but he was a great character, as we can see in the above video.
We wish him all the success in the world.
