Liverpool have had a rollercoaster ride of a season with not much to shout about achievement-wise. However, there are some facets of the campaign we can be pleased about, for instance the rise of an unlikely hero. After an excellent campaign, Lee Hendrie has backed Burnley to sign Nat Phillips.

Rise of the Bolton Baresi
Last summer Liverpool were expected to sell Nat Phillips.
A move to Swansea was thought to be in the offing after a successful loan spell in Stuttgart.
However, no such move materialised and the defender was put on the shelf for the campaign.
Then an injury crisis struck the Reds’ back line and Phillips was called into action.
Against all odds, Phillips went on to be one of the standout performer’s of the Reds’ season.
He finished with 15 starts and two sub appearances in the Premier League, earning a WhoScored rating of 7.29.
Burnley should sign Nat Phillips
The defender’s cult status has been built on his heroic aerial ability.
The Bolton Baresi throws his head at everything and fans love to see it.
Lee Hendrie believes Burnley should be tempted by Nat Phillips and his physical prowess, telling Sky Sports’ Soccer Special:
“He has been a breath of fresh air, you’ve got to say.
“What I like about him, is he a Liverpool-style player? Possibly not, but everyone’s grown to like what he’s been all about.
“He wears his heart on his sleeve, he puts his head where he shouldn’t do. Why shouldn’t he be one of the better centre-halves around?
“He’s the type of player, no disrespect, that I could see at a Burnley or somewhere like that. He’s that style of player.”
What RTK has to say
Burnley signing Nat Phillips would make sense but we don’t want to see him go, not yet.
He could well be a valuable fourth choice for us in the coming years.
He’s shown he’s up to the task, why not keep him around?
