Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has posted images of himself back in Reds training in Kirkby on social media today.
Elliott’s season-long loan spell at Blackburn Rovers came to an end last week after the Championship season reached its conclusion.
As the Rovers did not make the playoffs, their players have been permitted to take their summer holidays.
However, with three Premier League games still to go for Liverpool, Elliott has returned to Merseyside to continue training.
It is unknown whether he will be joining in with first-team training this week ahead of the final game next weekend.
What we do know is that he is doing an individual session today, as seen on his Instagram story. His teammates, meanwhile, have travelled to the West Midlands to play West Bromwich Albion.
Elliott showing great commitment at a young age
The fact that Elliott has continued training at the Axa Training Centre rather than taking a well-deserved holiday is a credit to him.
It is possible that the club requested that he come back to assess him before he takes his break. But after a gruelling Championship season, Elliott probably could have decided against it.
Unfortunately, the 18-year-old will not be allowed to play in the remaining Premier League games this campaign. This makes his desire to train even more impressive.
Elliott is probably keen to get himself a chance in the first team next season. His performances in the second tier have certainly earned it.
Jurgen Klopp will probably want to take a look at him in pre-season before making his decision.
One thing for sure is that Elliott is going to be a superstar if he continues on this path.
His attitude and appetite for the game seem top-notch. He also clearly loves the club, so the chances are that he will do everything he can to reach the potential that he clearly has.
