Liverpool don’t know what will happen with Mohamed Salah as PSG continue to consider a move, according to reports. The Reds are a little in the dark here.
This comes from Bild. They claim that PSG want Mohamed Salah in case Kylian Mbappe leaves the club.
The Frenchman only has one more year on his deal after this one, meaning Paris Saint-Germain are considering their options. Salah would be at the top of their list for replacements, should Mbappe move on.
They’re not the only ones, however – Chelsea would also like to sign Salah. The Blues are waiting in the wings just in case the Egyptian fancies a change.
And it all puts Liverpool in an interesting position. The Reds now have Jadon Sancho in their sights as their own replacement for Salah.
But Liverpool supposedly don’t know what will happen with Salah, says Christian Falk. The Bild journalist says the player is always thinking about a transfer, with Spain being a potential lure, too.
Liverpool aren’t sure what the player will do, leaving them to consider a replacement like Sancho.
Mohamed Salah to PSG?
If Liverpool were to miss out on the Champions League next season, we wouldn’t be completely shocked if Salah turned around and asked for a move. Especially if PSG were there.
He’s 28, after all, and apparently considering his options anyway. It’s certainly somewhere Liverpool have been before.
But we’re not worrying just yet. The Reds still hold the cards here – Salah’s deal isn’t up for two years – and this all seems to depend on Mbappe leaving PSG. We’re not sure that’s going to happen.
We really can’t imagine the Chelsea move comes to pass, though, no matter what. It makes absolutely no sense to sell him there – they’ve have to offer a truly ridiculous figure.
So maybe Liverpool are a little in the dark over Salah but there’s a long way to go before something difficult reveals itself.
