Atalanta star Josip Ilicic has revealed his love for Liverpool with a Reds-themed tattoo.
The Slovenian attacker posted an image of his newly-inked calf on his Instagram story.
The tattoo depicts a picture of him touching the This Is Anfield sign in the player’s tunnel of the famous ground. Liverpool players traditionally touch the sign on their way out to play games.
Ilicic’s post can be seen in the below Tweet by Football Italia.
Ilicic’s tattoo is probably evidence that he supports the club.
Of course, Liverpool are one of the biggest teams on the planet. There are undoubtedly numerous professional players that supported them growing up.
However, it is strange to see a still-active player demonstrate his love so publicly.
Ilicic unlikely to ever play for his favourite club

If this were a few years ago, this tattoo would probably have seen Ilicic linked with a summer transfer to Liverpool.
The 33-year-old has been one of the key reasons for Atalanta’s stunning rise in recent years.
The Italian side currently sit second in the Serie A table. This will secure them Champions League football for the third season running.
Ilicic has been one of their best players since joining from Fiorentina in 2017.
He has six goals and nine assists in 28 league matches this season. He fared even better last campaign, with 15 goals and five assists in 26 games.
In fact, Ilicic actually scored against the Reds in Atalanta’s 2-0 victory in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.
Numbers like that could well have seen Liverpool move for him if not for his age.
Even though he will never pull on the red shirt, Josip Ilicic will always have that Anfield goal to look back on.
