Liverpool kept their top four hopes alive with a win at Old Trafford tonight. The Reds needed a win and they got it. These Reds mate. They keep your heart pounding but they pull through when you need them to. Here are our Liverpool player ratings v Manchester United:

Alisson Becker – 8
The Brazilian made an early mistake but apart from that he was solid throughout.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 9
The Scouser in our team never fails to impress us, what a footy player he is mate.
Nat Phillips – 7
The Bolton Baresi gifted the opposition a goal and pulled off an assist which Kevin De Bruyne will be trying to imitate every week going forward.
Rhys Williams – 7
Rhys Williams kept his place in the side and didn’t do too badly to be honest. Well in Rhys.
Andy Robertson – 7
Andy Robbo was consistent as ever, nothing too great, nothing too bad.
Gini Wijnaldum – 7
See above, functional. We won, that’s all that matters.
Thiago – 6.5
The midfield maestro didn’t do much, shoot me. The Spaniard wasn’t awful but in a big game we expect more.
Fabinho – 7.5
The Brazilian just terrors people in the midfield.
Diogo Jota – 8
Diogo got his goal in clever fashion and he played his heart out, right man, right time.
Mo Salah – 8.5
Mo kept pace with Harry Kane netting the clincher for the Reds. We needed that.
Roberto Firmino – 9
The Brazilian shut up a lot of critics with his brace tonight, some clever passes as well. Well in Bobby.
