Liverpool are going to sign a striker this summer (hopefully). The Reds have struggled for form in front of goal in the second half of the season, now seems to be the time for reinforcements. According to The Athletic, Liverpool admire Patrick Bamford at Leeds United.
Liverpool striker needed
This summer we expect a forward to be signed.
The front three have been together for four years now and they look like they’ve been figured out.
It’s time for a change, time for fresh blood to liven things up for the Reds.
Since the turn of the New Year we’ve not been clinical enough in front of goal, bringing in a new striker to gobble up these wasted chances appears an inevitability.
Liverpool admire Patrick Bamford
There are plenty of potential targets for the Reds to consider.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool admire Patrick Bamford at Leeds United.
The outlet has reported that the striker has signed a contract extension with the Yorkshire side, taking his deal beyond 2022.
In the report the outlet claims the Reds are fans of the striker’s, the forward has netted 15 goals and bagged seven assists this term with Jürgen Klopp saying he is ‘happy’ that the Englishman proved his doubters wrong.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Patrick Bamford seems unlikely.
Given he’s just signed a contract extension with Leeds United and he’s going to turn 28-years-old in September he doesn’t fit the bill.
However, the club have surprised us before. The striker could be a repeat of Mo Salah given that Bamford failed to establish himself at Chelsea as a youngster.
It’s always great to prove the Chels wrong.
